Welcome to the Shalom Elders Village. The Village is an activity of Congress Community Development and Education Unit Ltd which is the Queensland community response arm of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress (UAICC). The (UAICC) is the Indigenous arm of The Uniting Church in Australia.

The Village is a sanctuary of comfort, care and tranquility set in the beautiful grounds of the Shalom Community in Townsville. It is surrounded by other activities of the (CCDEU Ltd) including the Shalom Christian College, Shalom Development Services Pty Ltd and Black Ink Press to name a few. Aside from providing premium care in a culturally appropriate setting the Village also prides itself on its genuine commitment to making residents feel part of an extended and welcoming community. Uniquely, residents have an opportunity mingle with students from the Shalom Christian College, some of who are from their same community. This creates a strong sense of ‘community' for all and is wonderful way in which two generations can share the gifts each other brings.

We invite you to learn more about the Shalom Elders Village and of the many benefits of residing at North Queensland's premier Indigenous aged care facility.
