School Counsellors

The School Counsellors work to ensure that students in the primary, secondary and Crystal Creek campuses are able to access appropriate educational outcomes. They do this by assisting school personnel with strategies to address barriers that impact on students’ academic, social, personal, or emotional development.

School Counsellors work within counselling guidelines and work with families, carers and their Communities to support young people. Any intervention with students recognises the young person and their place within their family and Community. This approach recognises that each young person's wellbeing and progress is a shared responsibility involving the young person, their family, community and school staff. At times, young people may be feferred to outside agencies, who work in collaboration with the College for extra support.
