Congress Community Development and Education Unit Ltd (CCDEU Ltd) is an Indigenous Christian developed and managed organisation.
It is governed by a Board of Indigenous people appointed by Calvary Presbytery, which is the Queensland arm of the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress.
The organisation operates a number of programs across a broad spectrum of activities designed to provide Indigenous people with pathways to social, cultural and economic empowerment. These include:
- Shalom Christian College
- Woodleigh Residential College
- Shalom Development Services Pty Ltd trading as Milbi Constructions
- Shalom Elders Village
- Stagpole Street Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre
- Pastor Bill's Aged Care
- Black Ink Press
CCDEU Ltd presently employs over three hundred and fifty people across the North Queensland region and is recognized as a major lighthouse project and contributor to the local economy.
The head office is based in Townsville, North Queensland. The Chairperson is Rev Shayne Blackman - the inspirational Indigenous visionary leader - who along with other Indigenous people was instrumental in the establishment of the organisation.
